| Description & Commentary: | C.A.M.P. used a double bend for the nose-end of the gate, whereas most wiregate carabiners have a single bend at the nose. This presents a wide frontal surface, which makes clipping rope one handed extremely easy. Unfortunately, the 12.6mm wide wiregate protrudes significantly beyond the 5.6mm milled portion of the carabiner nose, making it highly likely to be opened if dragged along a rock surface. |
