Summary: | iconic HMS design |
Description & Commentary: | Iconic carabiner with everything you need and nothing you don't. Smooth-running rope thanks to the round stock, an indelible red-is-dead unlocked indicator, snag-free keylock nose and beautiful symmetry. For a time, Petzl sold the Attache alongside the hot forged Attache 3D. With the release of the hot forged v2 Attache, Petzl discontinued both older models - leading some desperate Attache devotees to approach strangers at climbing sites about purchasing or trading for an under-appreciated v1 model. Arguably, the only area for complaint is aggressive knurling which quickly abrades painted hardware and may hasten wear on soft goods. (And sure, the weight, but who brings dozens of Attaches on a climb?) |
