| Description & Commentary: | A well finished screwlock carabiner with a keylock nose. Locking sleeve uses a raised central kurled section like the the Wild Country Neon, (not recessed as found on DMM carabiners). The profile is a thick T-beam along the spine, and a thick I-beam around the basket and runner ends, with well-formed rope seats on both ends. Although a much newer design, the Trango React is similar in size and weight to the venerable Black Diamond Positron. More refined (and expensive) designs will be larger for the same weight, or other features such as lock indicators. But for the price, this is a quality locking carabiner. |
