| Description & Commentary: | Classic compact D carabiner, with a gate made from uncommonly large 12.6mm diameter round bar stock. Interestingly, the grooves on the gate are made with 3 different profiles. The top two grooves are angled 45 degree towards each other, forming a chamfered cylinder between them. The bottom groove is a square sided flat bottom groove. This example is almost identical to another Clog 2200, with two differences: The nose is straight rather than angled towards the end, and the rear of the hinge angles upwards. |
